Looklet – lez style

I’m currently stuck in my flat, complete with sore throat, grapes and Saturday afternoon TV. Not the best way to spend a day when most of your chums are galavanting around Brighton.

To distract myself, I’ve been spending far too much time on Looklet, a site that lets you create your own fashion shoots from a selection of model options, background scenes and some very delectable clothes. I confess I used to make my own versions of this game from paper when I was young, as well as regularly inventing outfits for my Barbies. This progressed to making my own clothes, a good plan in theory, but not when you wear a dress aged 14 to a school disco that proceeds to rip from top to bottom. I seem to remember I’d brought sellotape with me just in case, so don’t worry everything was fine, if fine is layers of sellotape wrapped around you while you wait for your mum to pick you up outside the school sports hall. People who say school is the best days of your life are very wrong.

Anyway, today I decided to focus this urge to style in a creative way, and I’ve boldly gone where (most likely) no other Looklet member has gone before, by creating some very lez-inspired looks. They’re probably pretty tame compared with what this site’s readers can come up with – so please, join the site, create a sapphic Looklet picture and I’ll publish it below. The winner gets um, nothing I’m afraid, as I’m broke. I guess you get the honour of being the Best Ever Looklet Lez, which is probably every gay girl’s greatest wish.
