There’s nothing like a spot of tea. And what better to complete the occasion than a good old-fashioned tea dress? If you’re the dressy type, you may have some interest in Pearl Lowe’s new collection of charming little tea dresses for  high street budget fashion fave Peacocks.  Need a little something to sweeten the deal? Modelling the collection is none other than the aforementioned rockstar/designer’s lovely daughter, the very Miss Daisy Lowe.

In an interview with the Daily Fail, mother and daughter discuss the history behind the collection, and talk about how each other’s personality is clearly represented in the slew of dresses – with the proud mother stating that they were designed with her daughter in mind. Now I may be partial here – I’m a bit dress-mad at the moment and can’t really be counted on not to get excited by anything with Daisy Lowe in it – but the dresses in this collection are downright lovely. Want something that screams sweet and innocent?

Or maybe something a little more 40′s lush?

Your bases are covered. With photography by Mary McCartney completing the already admirable campaign, I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist picking out a piece or two from this lot. So… fancy a cuppa?

Pearl Lowe’s collection will be available in selected stores from the 13th of May. You can view more of the collection here.

There is nothing rock n roll about Peacocks. Primarni can pull it off. But, really does she think doing a collection for Peacocks is gonna give her credibility ? Good for Peacocks but somehow I dont think its a clever move for Lowe. A bit like great for LG, and poor brand move by prada. Lets see how her designs fit and sell; could be a hit – I wouldn’t know I don’t do dresses ;-)

I think the stuff looks nice but at the end of the day it depends on the quality of it. Henry Holland’s collection at Debenhams looked really good but the quality was shocking worse than Primark.
