Threads Crush: Emily Eisen
by Lemon Tart
If Facehunter‘s the king of street style sites, Jak and Jil is its tempestuous son, all slick and shiny: if you haven’t seen it before, have a gander. Packed full of landscape snapshots of hats, jackets and shoes, the site’s founder Tommy Ton has perfected the art of people – and obsessive fashion – watching.
One of my favourite posts from the site is a recent one on the stylist Nicola Formichetti‘s first assistant, Emily Eisen. Even if you’re not hugely interested in the ins and outs of the perfect mac this season or what shoes the fash pack are a-hankering after, this particular article‘s a beaut. Every single thing in Emily’s wardrobe is totally awesome. I want ALL of it. I read the article back in December, and I really don’t know why it’s taken me so long to share it…
These are a few of the highlights from the post…
You can get the above amazing Boy London T Shirt from SICK, a shop at 105 Redchurch Street in Shoreditch. I popped in there recently and while it’s slightly on the expensive side, there’s some seriously nice threads in there. Expect leather, latex, vintage, big logos and even Buffalo boots… Here’s a shoot Vice mag did there recently and an article on the place courtesy of monstablogga.
Yep the above is pretty hot. I also like this sheer hoodie from Topshop (£30). The pic of it is fairly naff, but on the right girl it could be pretty fine…
As Jak and Jil tells us, the above ring is Burberry Prorsum. You can buy the necklace version here – the ring seems to be sold out online but comment below if you find it. It’s a bit hick… but some of the best things in life are, no? (Getting drunk in fields, driving around fast in crappy old cars, honing lazinesss into an art… anyway I digress…)
The stripey t shirt is currently a bit of a ubiquitous staple. Probably because it makes the average girl look even hotter than she already is.
Here are some of my favourites:
Petit Bateau is a French company that get t shirts pretty darned perfect. Their zebra-ed option is no exception (£40.50).
And of course, American Apparel (£23)…
Anyway, that’s the end of a fairly rambling fashion post, hope you enjoyed…

Love the pictures!
I know where you can find better linear t-shirts!
