Music Video Monday… Ke$ha – Your Love Is My Drug

Well this has been a long time coming – I can’t remember the last MVM we had. Anyway, spring’s here now, and it’s looking like a good ‘un already – sunshine, birds chirping, the view from behind my office desk/computer screen. Life is good. But you know what makes spring and summer better? Anthems. That’s right people, it’s not enough to have sunshine and daisies, there has to be a soundtrack for it.

I wasn’t really a big fan of Ke$ha when I first heard her. I think there’s really something obnoxious about people who put dollar signs (or any other symbol) in their names – bar Prince, of course. But as I’ve said before, sometimes things just grow on you, like fungus. That’s what Ke$ha is, I guess. And her contender for summer anthem – the feisty, ridiculously catchy ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ – seriously puts the ‘fun’ in fungus.

I’d have a slumber party in her basement. But only if this was playing. And only if she leaves that bizarre tiger mask at home. I’m not into furries.
