The Most Cake’s weekly round-up of lesbian-ish/gay lady/queer grrrl news from around the world.

And I used to like you, you moron!

Tracy Morgan of ’30 Rock’ fame went on a homophobic, pro-bullying, anti-Gaga rant at a Nashville standup gig. It was very unimpressive. Then he apologized, but Tina Fey , who is in fact an awesome LGBT advocate, is so pissed off. (Have you got her book ‘Bossypants’ on audiobook yet? You should do. It’s funny.)

Marriage equality in the Big Apple is No Big Deal, except that It Doesn’t Exist:

People in New York want us to get married! There are lots of polls that say so. As always, though, haterz wanna hate.

This is just too sad, it’s really sad you guys:

Anderson Cooper from CNN has done a three-part report on the life and death of Kirk Murphy. Murphy was subjected to behavioural experiments aiming to prevent homosexuality in the early 70s. One of the ‘scientists’ involved in his abuse was George Rekers, now best known for letting rentboys ‘lift his luggage’. Murphy committed suicide earlier this year. Here’s the first part of the report. Prepare to be upset.

LGBT youth:

The American Center for Disease Control says being gay and teenage = health risks. LGBT kids smoke, drink, and do drugs more than straight teens, and are more likely to engage in risky and/or suicidal behaviours. The press release says:

“This report should be a wake-up call for families, schools, and communities that we need to do a much better job of supporting these young people. Any effort to promote adolescent health and safety must take into account the additional stressors these youth experience because of their sexual orientation, such as stigma, discrimination and victimization.”

It’s Pride Month, and by golly if they don’t know how to do fabulous in Hollywood:

Los Angeles Pride was today, and Margaret Cho was there and so was Johnny Weir and also Andrew Johnson. Andrew is a California corrections officer who originally wasn’t gonna be allowed to wear his uniform in the parade, but then he was and he did!

Bad news outta Croatia:

A Pride parade in the Croatian town of Split was interrupted by right-wing extremists on Saturday. They threw rocks because they’re so eloquent and their arguments are so persuasive. 100 people were detained and many were injured. In related news, Croatia got the go-ahead to join the European Union on Friday.

Prepare for more Pride posts as the summer wears on!

Kent is world famous for its lesbians?

AfterEllen recommends that we all go to GoGo Women’s Arts Festival (that’s in this country). They promise Heather Peace and Uh Huh Her. And they’re extending this invitation to American lezzes too, which means y’all have even more of a reason to go now. Let’s assemble a posse!

This week in ADORABLE:

Here’s a video of a nine-year-old vogueing to Madonna:
