Cake Snaps at Koochooloo, July 24th

Since Koochooloo changed venues for the summer to the slightly more posh central location – Playtime Bar basement in Angel, there have been a few noticeable changes at hand…

1. Shabby decided to leave the Big Brother house in order to attend*

2. There were 4 corners in the room (doh). At least 3 of them were occupied by lovers at all stages of the night. Sometimes 2 in one corner (see photo below).

3. To get to the basement, you had to walk upstairs through a sea of straights, which pretty much got over staring on my 5^th dyke march for a cigarette.

4. The sound system and music line up suited the basement atmosphere perfectly. With a line up of Disco Damage and Kyprian, music was certainly not a fault there.

More to the point, it was still Koochooloo, no identity lost. It still has those dirty dance tunes to make your lesbian high heels lift the sticky floor all night long and/or turn you into a ‘lez makeout’ frenzy.
