Cake snaps at Mannequin, October 17th

Three cheers for Mannequin on another sparkling night of indie/electro revelry. This month’s offering was top notch, with more well-heeled young fillies than Jenny Schecter’s wet dreams.

Well done to Marta and Jo for pushing the boundaries venue-wise and for creating a night that’s really unique. I had a fab time: great music and excellent chat kept all bouyed up till closing time. What TMC like about Mannequin however, is that it ain’t OTT glam… they’re definitely getting the Shoreditch/Soho balance right as promised. While you peruse our Mannequin pics, I found a truly bizarre Youtube video about lesbian mannequins when I was searching for Mannequin’s site. No I wasn’t searching for mannequin porn. Probably. Favourite quote: “There’s something just so honest about a radical lesbian mannequin activist.” In this episode Mike tries to sell his mannequin fiction to his agent, while lesbian mannequin Hope meets and falls for the melancholic bisexual supermodel mannequin Marcy. Can they do a series for us please?
