Cake Snaps at Queen Bees, July 23rd
Queen Bees got down with purple this month – purple lavender perfume, purple balloons, purple vinyl, purple threads, accessories and purple love. On the decks was the super marvelous purple Kate Marr, as well as the well-known mixing mastermind DJ Jenny Woolworth (http://www.jennywoolworth.ch/deardiary/). The purple visual art was represented by Stav B’s video performance of Love, as well as Maria Akesson’s video montage of a few projects she’d done recently.
Big shout out to Stav, who always seems to get a the right mixture of projects, art genres, and great vinyl tunes, all mixed together with a splash of colour to make your evening luuussh.

This is what someone was whistling as I turned 14th street breakfasting crumb by crumb my croissant and I learned it was Purple Rain from Prince. Times are changing and it’s soon breakfast time again!
