Poll: Shabby’s webcam video – how does it make you feel?

I fancy Shabby, I do. I won’t tell you what I have to put up with because of this. The amount of polite though incredulous “well each to their own” comments, the “if you were 15 it would be one thing” line, and the not-so veiled references to my poontang and its preferences. I suffer for this crush. But we all have our weakness, and the London Shane is mine.
I mean, it’s not like I fancy Whitney on the Real L-word, I do have standards.
Anyway. The video above works for those of us mesmerised by Shabby Katchadourian, her shaggy locks, her Victorian urchin threads and her compelling ability to attract pootang. That would be me and Stoppickelingme08 . As she puts it on youtube:

In fact that would seem to be me and most lesbians under the age of sixteen and a half. Okay I can’t be sure how old AmberCharlie98 is, but I just feel that she is under 16. (Bloody hope the 98 bit doesn’t mean she was like, born in ’98). Amber is driven to make illogical statements by her desire for Shabby Katchadourian:

Everyone else may see this video as self indulgent emo posturing in front of a webcam: either a cry for poontang or social services. U GuYs R RONG.
But I will say it really reminds me of this…

She’s like a guilty pleasure, you’re brave to admit to your friends that you like her, I pretend I’m indifferent when really I’m suffering from a massive crush, it’s like my Shane obsession two years ago, ah the heartbreak…
and yes it is quite like all those self-indulgent youtube videos which always make me feel slightly uneasy since the age of these girls is almost always under sixteen and the video filmed from their lovely teenage bedrooms, it sort of makes me want to protect them from all the weirdos out there, then again if they’re fool enough to indulge their vanity in this way then maybe they deserve the creeps viewing them…anyway, yeah, I think it’s a certain kind of girl like us who are mesmerised by shabby because she’s got that kind of effortless charisma..

I thought that video was quite ridiculous. I hope people who watched Big Brother don’t think that she’s an accurate representation of a lesbian. I don’t think people should have to boast about their sex lives regardless of how much pootang they get.
A famous-ish lesbian ‘creative’ type got set up on a date with Shabby after she came out of the BB house and was, according to date-related sources, “odd”. Just throwing that out there for no reason whatsoever other than to peddle gossip and keep that rumour mill furnished with Shabbymongering.

No. As you well know, I most likely would have beaten Shabby to a pulp using my Nadine Coyle Barbie by now if that was the case. And gone round to Mary’s office and sobbed uncontrollably into a large handkerchief for days on end.

@ Silly – sadly I’ve spoken to people who watch big bro who do believe that all lesbians are like that. Although, they were namely gay men. Still, I haven’t quite figured out if that makes it even more disheartening or not.

I went to see Voodoo Hussy a few years ago. They were terrible. And Shabby did nothing more than girate and then spit on stage into a cup infront of an audience who had to witness a huge globule of mucus covered saliva dribble down the side of the cup *gag.*

To be honest I don’t want to come across as mean and I don’t like slagging anyone off in our community – she may be really nice underneath the unwashed clothes and arrogance. I’ll just go back to my original point and say that a lot of gay people have worked very hard not to be put in a box or viewed in a certain way by straight people. I just feel that Shabby’s attitutude and bizzare behaviour on BB will make some ignorant straight people think that les-girls are all mentally unbalanced, crazy women who get ridiculous crushes on innocent straight women and then do something ridiculous like jump off a roof with an eagle (okay that’s the plot of Lost and Delirious but you get my point). I really don’t like the way were portrayed through the media. I’d much rather be represented by somebody like Ellen – she’s the kind of lesbo I want to be when I grow up.
@Silly- Everyone on BB is mentally unbalanced and crazy with stupid crushes on people who are using them to get more airtime though.
